I wanted to add a couple of new snapshots. Today marks 12 weeks since surgery. I would say more than 90% of the swelling is gone, and I look different but not drastically so.
The left side moves so much more now, but it still looks less defined than the right. More rounded and stiff, I guess. My left eye opens wider and easier now, but I still have Spock eyebrows because the left side of my forehead doesn't move. Bonus: my forehead wrinkle can't go all the way across right now :)
I'm eating pretty normally at this point. Breads are the most difficult because they're so chewy, and salads are hard, too. I actually had a little steak last week with almost no issues. I can open wide enough for two sideways fingers now, and that will continue to improve, especially when I'm finished wearing elastics completely. Next week's teeth cleaning may be interesting since I can't open very wide, but we'll cross that bridge later.
